Carbon adsorption can reduce the concentration of many hormones and growth factors in serum, such as estradiol, cortisol, corticosterone, B vitamins, T3T4, prostaglandin and so on. The serum is suitable for use in experiments where some of the molecules mentioned above may interfere with experimental results and may reduce cell growth performance for those cell cultures where these molecules are required.
